Crystal Run Healthcare has opened their new healthcare facility at 95 Crystal Run Road in the Town of Wallkill. The 127,000 SF facility began opening in stages beginning in July.
Specifically designed to provide advanced medical capabilities and superior patient care, the new facility is complete with an advanced imaging services center, including the region’s first 3T MRI. In addition a dedicated Women’s Imaging Center offering bone densitometry, mammography, and ultrasound; a state-of-the-art physical and occupational therapy suite with heated therapy pool; audiology and speech therapy; and an on-site café. They employ more than 170 physicians and 20 mid-level providers in over 30 medical specialties with 11 practice locations focusing on the healthcare needs of the Mid-Hudson Valley and lower Catskill region.
St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital has announced an October 1st opening for its new $17 million Cancer Treatment Center. With this opening, Orange County will now have access to advanced TomoTherapy radiation technology for the treatment of cancer. This new technology is so precise that it targets only cancer cells and spares healthy cells and, as a result, can shorten the time required for treatment by more than 80%.
Additionally, the facility will offer amenities that will make patients and their families comfortable during treatment sequences.
Orange Regional Medical Center is well under-way and on track for a 2011 opening. This $350 million project is the first new hospital to be built in New York State in 20 years. Built on a 61-acre site in the Town of Wallkill, it is situated with immediate access to Interstate I-86. When completed, it will be 7 floors with more than 660,000 SF and house 374 beds. It will be the largest new hospital north of the New York Metropolitan area and the west anchor of Orange County’s Major Medical Corridor. |
